Eden Island is a luxury resort, located on a private island connected to the main island of Mahé by a bridge. Eden Island is composed of an elegant mix of high standing properties, of Creole architecture, with large tropical gardens, private beaches and swimming pools.
Eden Island is 8 minutes by car from the airport and 5 minutes from the city of Victoria and its port where ferries leave for Praslin and La Digue. taxi stand is located on Eden Island and a bus stop located near Eden Bridge. Eden Island is opposite the Sainte-Anne Marine National Park, and most excursions to visit the marine park depart from the Eden Island marina. By its central location on Mahé, Eden is thus ideally placed to discover the splendors of Mahé.
On Eden Island, everything has been thought out for the well-being of its residents. In addition to your luxurious apartment, Eden also offers its guests many opportunities to relax and enjoy this haven of peace. Eden has 4 sandy beaches lined with coconut palms. These wave-protected beaches are only accessible to residents and are ideal for children. On all the beaches, deckchairs are available to you and elegant shelters allow you to protect yourself from the sun if you wish. A shower is located at the entrance to each beach. Beautiful seabed exists on 3 of the 4 beaches. Locations are provided near each beach, to park your golf car. The beaches are:
- Anse Bernitier: The smallest but probably the most popular of Eden Island beaches. It is a fine sandy beach with a view of Ile au Cerf. Beautiful seabed at the end of the Cape.
- Anse Bigorno: a beautiful white sand beach with a view of the Ste-Anne Marine Park. An ideal beach for snorkelling.
- Anse Bernik: This beach is near the Club House and the Palmier restaurant. It has a beautiful view of the mountains of Mahé.
- Anse Tec Tec: A beach with a view of the south of Mahé. A volleyball court is there.
There are three private swimming pools available in the vicinity. Each pool is equipped with amenities such as children's pools, changing rooms, showers, and toilets. The largest pool is situated near the Palmier restaurant bar at the Clubhouse, conveniently located just 200 meters away from our apartments. Another pool is located on the opposite side of our apartments, providing easy access for residents. Additionally, there is a third pool situated on the west side of Eden Island. These well-maintained pools offer a refreshing and enjoyable experience for residents and visitors alike, providing convenient options for relaxation and leisure activities.
The Clubhouse on Eden Island is an essential destination for guests, located just 200 meters from their apartments. The Clubhouse offers a wide range of activities, ensuring that there is always something to do. Guests can take advantage of the swimming pool, which is perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. Those looking to stay active can head to the superb gym, complete with a professional coach, or play a game of tennis on one of the two courts. Additionally, there are two padel courts, a children's playground, and two tennis tables and a pool table located around comfortable sofas and coffee tables. The pleasant Palmier restaurant bar is also located at the Clubhouse and offers a delicious à la carte menu, breakfast options, and an extensive cocktail list. Guests can enjoy musical entertainment and themed evenings, adding to the already vibrant atmosphere of the Clubhouse. Whether guests are looking to relax or stay active, the Clubhouse has something for everyone, making it the perfect destination for a memorable vacation.
Eden Plaza, a shopping center located in the public part of Eden Island, is also an important place of life on Eden Island. You will find Italian, Indian, Japanese, Lebanese, Seychellois restaurants and also the Broad Walk, a bar and restaurant which is a place to relax with its famous musical evenings on Mahé. A casino and several bars and many other places in Eden Plaza will entertain you.
Arrival can be done 24 hours a day. When you arrive on Eden Island, the CallCenter team, located at the entrance to the residential area and open 24 hours a day, will be notified of your arrival. They will give you your keys and send you with the shuttle to your apartment where you will find your golf car. As a resident in our apartment, you will have your own electric golf cart with your own parking space and charging station. This makes it easier to get around on Eden Island and makes children happy. On your arrival, for internet you will find near the TV the information necessary to connect as well as a green binder with useful information. You will find in this green binder information and a QR code to book all kinds of activities. For example, if you wish to carry out activities such as a tour of Mahé, an organized tour to Praslin or La Digue, or boat trips.
If you have rented a rental car. A parking space is reserved for you in the residents' car park. This covered and secure car park is located near the 2nd entrance to the residential area.
In the price we provide a cleaning twice a week as well as the final cleaning on your departure. Our housekeeper is on Eden during working hours.
There is a SPAR supermarket in Eden Plaza, open daily, as well as several shops. A car park, free for the first 30 minutes, is located under Eden Plaza. You will also find ATMs, a bank and an exchange office there, as well as a local telephone operator, which will allow you to buy a local SIM card. Eden Plaza is located 500 meters from the apartment, in the public part of Eden Island. So just 3 minutes from the apartment with your golf car, you will find a wide variety of restaurants offering different cuisines from around the world as well as Seychellois cuisine.
Some of these restaurants include:
- The Boardwalk, a Bar and Grill. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as light snacks and great cocktails. Note that in the evening this establishment is a trendy place on Mahé, until late at night.
- Bravo. A casual restaurant with an Italian style but offering a wide variety of dishes from around the world as well as burgers and other great classics appreciated by families.
- Le Tamassa, specializing in fish and seafood. View of the marina.
- The Maharajas. An Indian restaurant, located near the Marina. View of the mountains of Mahé
- The Blue Marlin. Located in the Eden Bleu hotel. Breakfast is served from 5:30. Serves delicate Seychellois cuisine as well as burgers and other great classics.
- Sey Sushi. A sushi bar serving a wide variety of sashimi and fusion style sushi. Freshness of ingredients guaranteed!
There are also several take-aways that offer take-out meals, such as the Lebanese-style Romana, the Gotha, a stylish place with a wide variety of dishes that can be eaten in or taken away. There are still other places on Eden Island where you can eat and have fun, such as at the Casino or in the many bars. In the evening, Eden Plaza offers a wide variety of places to eat and party until late at night.
